Sharply increasing health insurance expenses, growing special education and other costs have combined with flat state aid and property tax revenues to create a structural deficit. The South Hadley Budget Task Force (https://www.southhadley.org/1504/Budget-Task-Force) has been reviewing options for the addressing the increasing shortfall, which will likely include a Proposition 2.5 override vote.
All South Hadley residents are asked take the budget survey ASAP to provide important feedback: https://bridgew.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3UleV5odmoqmw4K
A number of upcoming meetings and actions on the budget are planned. Agendas with Zoom links for committee meetings will be available as posted on the South Hadley Agenda Center (https://www.southhadley.org/agendacenter). Meetings are also recorded and available later for viewing online at: https://shctv15.com/
