KYT to host Nov. 3 virtual forum on statewide ballot questions

Know Your Town (KYT) will host a virtual forum at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 3, 2022. KYT member Ira Brezinsky will moderate the program and serve as Zoom host. This free, online event is open to members, friends, and the public. The program will be recorded and available following the event on the Channel 15 website at shctv15.com.

There are four ballot questions to be decided in the November 8 election (questions appear on the back side of the state election ballot):

QUESTION 1: Proposed Amendment to the Constitution
Additional Tax on Income Over One Million Dollars
QUESTION 2: Law Proposed by Initiative Petition
Regulation of Dental Insurance
QUESTION 3: Law Proposed by Initiative Petition
Expanded Availability of Licenses for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages
QUESTION 4: Referendum Petition
Eligibility for Driver’s Licenses

At this time, speakers for and against Question 1 and Question 4 have agreed to participate in our forum. If speakers for Question 2 and/or Question 3 become available, we will also present those viewpoints.

Speakers will have four minutes to speak to either the yes or no side of a question. They will then answer questions submitted in advance or typed into the Chat feature of Zoom. Questions in Chat will go directly to the Moderator for screening. Please keep questions brief and to a single, issue-oriented topic.
